ScanStone clod and stone seperators: Choose the right used model for your specific needs

Investing in a pre-owned stone and clod separator is as much about choosing the right model as it is securing a mechanically sound example. Because no two business operations will be exactly alike, it follows that choosing a used separator will need as much careful thought as it would for a new model. In terms of raw spec, key considerations will include bed width, web pitch and choosing between a web or star equipped model. There will typically be a range of used machines available, but your choices will of course vanish if you need one in a hurry. Same old advice. If you want to secure the right machine you need to look well ahead, which is why this guide is appearing now rather than in January.

ScanStone was established by Gordon Skea, one of the owners of the original Reekie company that ceased trading in 2004. Continuing to work out of Forfar, ScanStone aimed to build upon the proven success of existing Reekie rotor feed stone and clod separation machines but with a revised design.
