EXCELLENT SUPPORT SAYS BERNARD PIKE

The Kent Summer Show was the replacement for the annual mid-July three-day Kent County Show and took place over 10-11 July, says Peter Love.

The event was far smaller than the County Show and cost the punter some £16 to attend. A number of National show jumping events were the main focus in the main ring along with the hounds and even sheep racing in the second ring was just one of the features. Further down the vast site were the Young Farmers stands with a number of trade stands around.

Many of the people involved in the Heritage section had not seen each other for two years now and it was a time to catch up with what had all been going on - some saying ‘you are still here!’ With a smile, it was like that unfortunately.
