A dream come true

Nick Horsburgh always wanted a David Brown Thresherman. He and his brother, Malcolm, witnessed J J Armfield & Co. Ltd.’s example driving by their house regularly in the early 1950s, and the seed was sown.

Although this type of tractors is always called the ‘Thresherman’, it was officially known as the David Brown Heavy Duty Tractor (Threshing Model) and designated the VTK1. Just 185 were made between 1946-47 and this one is a late example – first licensed
