Love That Journey For Me

Like a lot of people, I fell in love with the town of Schitt’s Creek and the Rose family. So much so that I wrote a book about it.

This show was the ultimate in “queering” narratives – it takes influences from both pop culture and queer culture and smashes them together. A show that used the influences of fashion divas and drag queens alongside references to Notting Hill made me think “this is a show made for me”. A show that told the Bridget Jones and Notting Hill generation “yes, you can have your Mark Darcy/Anna Scott”, while also throwing in musical theatre and deep respect for the power that fashion can have on visual storytelling.
