Mmabatho Molefe is just 26 years old, but already has a Food XX Award and a restaurant to. “I grew up in a small complex just outside Pinetown in a place called Nagina. Growing up in a close-knit community where everyone shared food, culture and knowledge influenced my palate.” In celebration of Heritage Day this month, and the amazing work that Mmabatho is doing at Emazulwini, we asked her to share seven classic heritage dishes from KZN, plus a couple of stellar new dishes from her menu.
