Charlie’s fair play

We left at dawn to head west. The all-terrain tyres on my truck hummed a monotone song as we trundled mile after mile along the dual carriageway. For all that, the trek from Suffolk to Warwickshire passed by speedily enough, largely thanks to the endless and varied chatter I was treated to by Charlie in the passenger seat.
