Simrad Yachting turns 75

Simrad Yachting is 75 years old this year. The company began life in Norway in 1946 selling war surplus radios for marine use, later expanding into other marine electronics and eventually becoming part of the specialist marine electronics company Navico. In June 2021 Navico announced its acquisition by Brunswick

Corporation, which will add the industry leading brands of Lowrance, Simrad, B&G and C-MAP to its Advanced Systems Group (ASG). ASG includes the Parts & Accessories (P&A) brands in power management, digital control and monitoring, and networked devices.
