The challenges of vocal editing

When editing and repitching vocals, there are some things that you need to be careful of. One key thing to look out for is sibilance. Sibilance is a thorn in the side of people working with vocals at the best of times, and repitching it can make things even worse.

Luckily, the latest version of Melodyne takes this into account and can detect when sibilance occurs. Having identified sibilance in an audio file, it processes these elements separately from the main vocal line.

This means you can repitch vocals and all sibilance remains unaffected as do unpitched
