Twice as nice

THANKS TO A a longer, wider bodyshell, a Series 3 is more usable than a ‘six’, and more affordable, too, if you’re not after a concours roadster. One of those will cost as much as the equivalent Series 2 roadster (about £140,000), but an excellent 2+2 coupé is half that, and average ones can be had for under £30k.

Low-mileage V12s abound, but check the history because clocked cars are not rare. Similarly, restored examples are sometimes claimed
