STROLLING ALONG IN SHROPSHIRE

Duration

Four nights

When

Spring 2021

Why?

Fabulous scenery and fascinating industrial history

We were more than ready for another trip in Hilary, our Hymer motorhome, but didn’t want to travel too far in these unpredictable times, so we headed to Shropshire, where I had spent most of my early years.

We opted to stay in Shrewsbury and chose the Greenhous West Mid Showground site, which was centrally situated for where we wanted to visit. The facilities felt a little tired, but the location is good and the site is clean.

Of course, we had our own facilities, with access to plenty of water and electric hook-up, so we managed four nights with no problems.

As we were planning to travel widely, to visit Ironbridge Gorge and explore the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we hired a small car from our usual supplier. We were picked up at the site on time and having completed the paperwork, headed off towards Ironbridge
