COLOUR ME STYLISH

Reading the latest copy of Unique Cars and Higgo’s story on Warren Colley’s Purr Pull XU-1 and it’s possible use as an ‘auto styling exercise’ vehicle, reminded me of my younger days at Holden and our annual paint colour selection shows.

Selecting our future colour range was never simply a matter of our talented paint and trim designers choosing from colour swatches. The selection process demanded the involvement of the company’s most senior male-dominated executives and the painting of, over many years, hundreds of one-off-coloured cars!
