Flying the Jester flag

For me, empathy for the Jester Challenge started when my father motored past the diminutive Jester to wish Blondie Hasler fair winds in an early single-handed transatlantic race. Being very young I had no sense of the scale of the undertaking until a month later when Dad announced that the little green boat had arrived in America.
