OPERATING THE LOOE BRANCH

A few years ago a visit to our son and his family gave me a chance to travel over the branch from Liskeard to Looe. This raised the question in my mind as to how many services on the current railway system require the guard to get out of the train and change the points? This is the situation on the Looe branch at Coombe Junction and again on the branch from Plymouth to Gunnislake at Bere Alston.
