Review: M-Audio Oxygen Pro

The compact USB keyboards in the Oxygen Pro series are available in 25, 49 and 61-key versions. There are eight knobs for controlling virtual instruments, effects and DAW tracks. There are also 16 pads and, on the 49 and 61 models, nine assignable faders as control elements. In addition to the MIDI editor, you also get a comprehensive software package with three DAWs (MPC Beats, Pro Tools First and Ableton Live Lite), six virtual instruments and several expansion packs.

Good keyboard with aftertouch

We chose the largest model with 61 keys for testing. M-Audio still uses a plastic housing for the Oxygen Pro, but it leaves a rather high-quality and robust impression and is pleasantly compact with a depth of only 26 cm. Faders,
