When did you realise you could use craft to inspire others?

I picked up a little cross stitch kit in 2008 for a fiver – a little teddy bear design – to keep me busy on a long train journey. I wanted to keep my mind occupied as I was in the middle of a difficult time. I was feeling burnt out in my job in the charity sector, and I missed being creative.
