With every review I write, I’m still astounded at just how crazy the marine industry is. New boat sales, used boat sales, outboard motor sales, electronics, chandlery, rebuilds, and repairs are out of control. It sounds like a good problem to have, however the catch is the delays and difficulty in getting stock or gear manufactured to match demand. In some cases, there are boat brands with waitlists blowing out to 2023 already — along with outboards stretching a good few months depending on brand.

Refits and repowers are a dime a dozen at the moment and not a bad option if you are not prepared to wait for a new boat build. However, I think we all assume that it’s just a matter of ordering what you want followed by a simple change over.
