What's Up Doc?
recently had a birthday. And, in the midst of the well wishes and festive remarks percolating up, I discovered that now being 74 freakin’ years old is not as disconcerting as I’d imagined it was gonna be. But then again, there drawbacks to devolving into the long-in-thetooth set. For starters, extra care must be exercised when wading a stream down during Florida’s blast furnace summers—it’s going downhill with such fervor that, just this morning, for the first time in my life, I contracted with a cleaning service to give a bath every couple of weeks. And finally, there’s an issue that’s a tad more singular than the previous two and somewhat more personal, considering that it has to do with the continuance of my generally good health.
