STYLE MAKERS

Injecting style into your interiors can be as simple as a lick of paint, some beautiful handmade decor or a designer light fitting to illuminate a space. New shades, sculptural elements, textures and shapes can combine to leave a lasting impression.

CHANGING COLOURS FROM DRAB TO FAB

A fresh coat of paint is a great way to change up your interiors. The Pantone colours of the year are Ultimate Grey and Illuminating Yellow — a duo that Letrice Eiseman, executive director of The Pantone Color Institute, says expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude: “Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this colour combination gives us resilience and hope.”

While those shades might be on trend, choosing a paint colour is not the only thing you need to think about. Interior designer Diana Ribarevski from Coco Republic says you need to ask yourself what the room will be used for.
