he narrator and his wife, Helen, had a retirement idea in a bar in Ithaca: to buy a liveaboard boat and spend their summers cruising Greece. The first third of this book follows their struggles to find, buy and fit out , a former flotilla Bavaria 38. After that Lamb takes us on a lively tour of Greek bays, harbours and towns. They have problems with tenders and the holding tank, and there’s a lot of anchoring angst. The short, doesn’t set out to be a guide book, but there are many useful sailing tips. A cheerful and entertaining account of the pains and pleasures of buying and sailing a yacht in Greece.
