Q Which clubs have you been most involved with? Any official roles?

Owen Welsh: I have been a member of the Irish Native Bird Breeders Society (INBBS) since December 10, 1969. I was elected to the position of secretary at the AGM on April 16, 1986. It was a position I had on and off for a number of years.

I was made an honorary member in 1996 for my services to the society, and I was last re-elected on March 3, 1999. I still hold the position to this present day, as well as treasurer for the last five years. I was also involved in the Irish National from its founding up to its demise. I held positions as secretary, treasurer and chairman over the years.
