Living in an 1800s log cabin has taught Katherine Hacker a lot about who she wants to be, but in many ways it’s also shown her who she’s always been. Hacker, 30, grew up in a historic cabin 20 miles southwest of where she lives today near Washington. The oldest of three children, Hacker loved spending time outdoors.
“We didn’t have cable. I wasn’t into Barbies,” she says. “I remember the creek in the back of the house and running to my dad’s shop.
