From then… to now in West Cornwall
On the previous pages is a super shot of Hayle back in steam days, and with – finally – a glorious sunny day in late May I thought it would be interesting to compare with a present day view taken from almost the same location. Sadly, vegetation prevented me from getting the exact same shot.
As you can see, the scene is still very recognisable today, with the Harbour office on the right, the former railway bridge just to the right of the swimming pool and the swing bridge in the middle of the shot.
