Where Are They Now?

As humans, I fear we often have rather short memories. In the racing scene, if we’ve not heard from someone for 12 months, we’re prone to forgetting their former podium dominance. It’s too easy to get caught up in the excitement of the latest rising star taking down course records, but we can and should learn from those who came before us. Writing this piece was a great excuse to reconnect with a handful of stars who dominated ultrarunning podiums 10 years ago. It’s inspiring to hear that none of them have lost their passion for running, even if the miles they log are a little less and the paces a little slower.
