    In this series we have looked at many ways to use a sketchbook – to develop our creativity, to plan and prepare for a painting, to loosen up and explore new media, and to help us out of artist’s block. In this final article, I want to look at one more great use for a sketchbook, that of creating memories.

    I often take a sketchbook and small painting kit with me when I go on holiday, and I hope to do Here is my gouache kit which all fits neatly into a light wooden box that measures 11x8x2in. (left).
