Creating mood and atmosphere

The ‘abstract’ elements of mood and atmosphere, and my quest to achieve both qualities, form the cornerstone of my painting. I am constantly aware of the light effects cutting through water, casting long shadows, or shining through mists. My objective is to capture my response to the combination of colours, light effects and weather conditions. By combining the following methods, you can experiment with the moods and atmospheres you wish to achieve in your work.
