Smokey Eyes for the DIY Bride

The “smokey eyes” make up style was particularly in fashion in the 1920s. At the time, silent movie stars were influential fashion icons. Starlets such as Louise Brooks and Clara Bow championed what would become a lasting trend; making a big feature of the eyes, combining bold lipsticks with heavier eye make-up. The smokey eye continues to lend itself to contemporary trends, it is a look which can accompany many bridal styles, be they modern, alternative, vintage or more.
