BRIGHTON CCA CONTEMPORARY ARTS GALLERY REOPENS WITH ABSORBING SUMMER SHOW

hile all British galleries had to close their doors in the last 18 months, Brighton CAA suffered the particular indignity of hosting a ‘ghost show’. Celebrated German painter Katharina Wulff was ready to present her first UK solo show, , with paintings hung and waiting for an audience. “You can see pictures of it on the website, but nobody was ever allowed in,” says Ben Roberts, Brighton CCA‘s Artistic Director. “It was a shame, because it was a beautiful show.” With restrictions easing, the gallery did succeed in bringing the vibrant work of Flo Brooks to the city. Presenting a suite is now being installed at Glasgow’s Tramway for the late summer.
