Driver shortage is in the news again – and being reported by many news outlets as something new. It isn’t of course; it’s been an issue throughout the seven years that I’ve been editing Classic & Vintage Commercials, and I’ve written about it several times.

It does though, seem to be worsening. As I write, the government have just announced a temporary increase in driving time from nine to ten hours
