We hardly ever turn our eyes to the floor when we visit an exhibition hall. At most, we habitually check whether we are allowed to step on it, and sit there for a while, or whether there are obstacles and stop line. While visitors look around, the floor sends minimal traffic signals so as not to obstruct their view and movement through the space. A clear hierarchy is applied here. Out feet support eyes that look up, a wall surrounds our eyes, and the floor supports our feet. The former belongs to the domain of sight, while the latter to the domain of the body. A floor that meets foreign matter is painted in gray, brown, and the colours of shadow and earth. If
