Opposition Broadcasters Keep Sprouting Up

~ Yet another opposition broadcaster has appeared, and it appears to be aimed at Uganda. We have not received a clear station ID yet, so it remains a question mark. Whatever, the station has been heard on 15170 kHz at 1500 UTC and its content consists of alternating talks between accented English and possibly Swahili. This may be a relay, however the situation remains fluid.

~ Another fluid problem can be found on 6210 kHz in the form of an RCI Radio Chile being heard at 2300 UTC in Spanish. I don’t know if there is any connection between this one and Radio Triumphal Evangelica on 5825 kHz. It is highly doubtful though, as both stations seem to be unlicensed.

Listener Logs

Your shortwave broadcast station logs are always welcome. But, please ensure to double or triple space between the items, list each logging according to the station’s home country and include your last name and state abbreviation after each. Also needed are spare QSLs, station schedules, brochures, pennants, station or shack photos, and anything else you think would be of interest. The same holds for you amateur radio operators who also listen to shortwave broadcasts. I know you are out there! Even though there are no call letters after my name, you, too, are also most welcome to contribute!

Here are this month’s logs. All times are in UTC and frequencies are in kHz. If no language is mentioned, English is assumed.
