BUSMAN S HOLIDAY

EVEN AS A CHARTER SKIPPER I can’t get enough of angling and my holidays are centred around fishing too. Luckily my wife Stacey understands my addiction and has been my fishing buddy on those holidays since we met.

Thanks to my passion for angling we have travelled to some great places over the years. Unfortunately, those overseas holidays were scuppered last year as borders were shut down due to coronavirus. Our backup plan was to head off aboard my boat Galloper.

Our diaries were clear for a 12-day window in which to steam somewhere, stay and fish, then steam back again. We hoped to head along the South Coast and make it as far west as we could. Even at 16-18 knots, this could be 12 to 20 hours each way and a large chunk
