As the title of this series suggests, we’ll be looking at techniques to get deeper into making ‘Them Changes’ (do you like our Jimi reference?). Our first topic is the Minor Pentatonic scale. This has many uses - some simple, some advanced.

Understanding the construction of the scale is vital to grasping more advanced applications and for getting the most out of the basics. The idea is to get away from having your fingers and the obvious finger shapes dictate the notes we play and the order we play them in.
