For most of my quilting journey, I have kept pretty faithful to the purist idea of quality cotton fabrics and thread, even for machine quilting. This was all to create a lasting treasure. Then our quilt guild had the opportunity to book a Laura Heine workshop to make one of her designs using her fused collaging techniques. I chose to make her Tomato Pincushion. It was fast, great fun, and a great stretch from my comfort zone.
