GAA CLASSIC CARS AUCTION GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA

AS THE 2021 AUCTION SEASON continued to unfold this spring, GAA Classic Cars held the second of four scheduled sales at its dedicated North Carolina facility on April 22-24. This sale was a relatively late addition to the company calendar and was held in part to offer 175 no-reserve vehicle lots from the collection of the late Ron Jones of Tennessee. Most of the collection was comprised of prewar cars, but there were also several noteworthy performance Mopars from the Sixties. By our count, GAA’s total catalog for the sale was packed with 558 vintage and contemporary collectible vehicles from across the globe.

As with GAA’s February auction, in-person attendance was limited to registered bidders and consignors, though phone and internet bidding was also allowed. During the three-day event, GAA sold 524 lots, equating to an eye-opening 94-percent sell-through rate and a collective take of nearly $16.5 million (all listed sale prices include a buyer’s premium).
