The cover of the 1998 Summer Special answered so many questions you didn’t even know you wanted to ask. Which is the world’s most visited beach?’ included images by ‘some of the world’s most famous photographers, who have been made Honorary Fellows: Eve Arnold, Lord Snowdon, David Bailey, Lord Lichfield and John Swannell’ were featured, along with, er… Koo Stark, who wasn’t really famous for her photography but her image was still one of AP’s favourites. Meanwhile Week 29 of our Pictures of the Century series told the story behind a classic Bert Hardy image.
