“My choices of vehicles have always been a little off,” Tim Schaefer offered, just as he began to show us around his Olds. “I appreciate the popular cars, like the Camaros, Mustangs, and such, but I’ve always gravitated towards the odd-man-out kind of car. Not just to be different, but for my own bombing around in. Plus, it’s fun to see something different going down the road once in a while, too.”
The Lee, Massachusetts, resident continued his origin story on the vehicles gathering in his garage. “I tend to bail these cars out of the dire circumstances,” said Tim in a reference to the as-found condition of not only his 1965 Chrysler Newport two-door hardtop featured previously (HCC, April 2021), but also the 1976 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale gracing these pages.
