1 Without any guitars
Who says you need guitars for Electro and Industrial Rock? Bands like Nine Inch Nails and Celldweller prove that you can create the aggressive sounds you‘re aiming for even with drastically processed synth sounds. For a mid-tempo track in this style, we‘ll choose a tempo of 106 BPM. First, we want to create a rhythmic foundation.
2 Synth drums
For the electronic percussion, we use the Sonic Charge Microtonic drum synth [1]. The preset „PTN Seadroid Wrain (84)“ from the package „Stellar Beats Vol 1“ already offers some sounds that we like. We tune the oscillator and filter frequencies to the C note and adjust some of the sounds for the desired sound character [2].
