Citric Acid: Replicant C

ehind Citric Acid is the German musician Thorsten Bösing, who for the first time presents his vision of acid techno on album length. It creaks, groans and hums everywhere, because the Citric Acid sound can be described as harsh and unpolished and is strongly reminiscent of the 90s. Some ghetto house and minimal are also in there. You look for melodies with a magnifying glass, while old-school beats are waiting in abundance. In addition to classic 4 to the floor loops, there is also more demanding rhythm programming and hypnotic synth arpeggios, which are subtly changed over and over again and have been trimmed to the typical acid sound through generous use of filters and effects.
