THE BALTYK
Amidst the sprawl of cubical edifices and flat surfaces in the center of historic Poznan, Poland, is the mesmerizing choreography of The Baltyk. Located on the site of the old Baltyk cinema, this multifaceted structure holds two and a half hectares of floor area with about half of it hosting modern office spaces. The building stands out as an Escheresque array of glass and steel grids on the Rondo Kaponiera and provides a unique identity to the community that cradles it. As if an active optical illusion, life emanates from the whole tower when viewed from different angles due to its visually changing configuration. Its users benefit not only from the mystic aesthetics of the façade but also from its intelligent functionality that places wellness and comfort first.
