The simplest and most authentic way to learn about another country and their culture is by visiting their markets. Skipping the well-trodden tourist trail and heading to where the locals shop gives you the privilege of watching real artisans and crafters at work. As a maker, watching others create beautiful objects using traditional methods in their own country is incredibly inspiring, but with international travel proving tricky, or even impossible right now, what’s the alternative?
