WHERE THERE’S MUCK THERE’S BRASS
Where’s there’s muck, there’s brass. It’s a Yorkshire phrase and I’m a Yorkshireman; it means that where there’s dirt or junk, there’s money and it’s true. There’s plenty of money in scrap and there are plenty of bargains to be had if you work at a scrapyard too. In a world where most people unnecessarily throw away good stuff to buy shiny new things and keep up with the Joneses, it’s refreshing to see a build that the owner built from a discarded Junkyard dog.
Honestly, if you’ve never built a car from scavenged parts, or pieced something back together from a junkyard ‘shell, then you haven’t lived, or at least haven’t experienced the immense satisfaction that it entails.
