MY 3 FAVORITE COMBAT KNIVES

Since this is BLADE®’s annual military issue, I thought it might be nice to revisit knives I believe are among history’s best for those who have fought and died in conflicts of many types. They are my three favorite combat knives.

One is known as a , a form of dagger used in Persia and Northern India for centuries. The originals made circa the 17th to 19th centuries are up to 18 inches overall. The blades are narrow, straight and bolstered and usually T-backed like a Khyber knife, though narrow and stiff for piercing chain mail.
