We vow, sincerely, that we will shop locally more often and support British business for both economic and ethical reasons. We make an effort to swerve fast fashion, as the evils around it are widely reported and seep into everyday conversation. We pledge it, mean it and do our bit where we can. But when you quit an enormously successful corporate career, with an enviable salary, to passionately devote your life to these beliefs and actively encourage others to consume far more consciously, this is a whole new level of commitment.
