The construction of our release pens, the way we manage them and the quality of the poults themselves when they first go in are key to having a decent season.
True, there are other variables — cropping patterns, how well our own crops grow, poaching, predation and disturbance, to name but a few. But on the whole, it is how well they do in the three or four weeks they are in the pens that makes or breaks a season.
