A long the driveway of this property on the NSW Central Coast, a row of statuesque canna lilies creates an imposing guard of honour, their purple leaves and creamy pink flowers drawing the eye towards a bed of vivid green and fluffy foxtail ferns. The playful combination offers a tantalising hint of the garden beyond. Hidden behind a gate and along a textured-concrete path lies a journey of discovery – a potpourri of colour, texture and form, the inspired creation of landscape designer Michael Cooke.
