NO LOOKING BACK NOW
When I look back to my life five years ago, it’s like I’m picturing another woman and another lifetime. Back then, even getting out of bed was a challenge, and I couldn’t get downstairs without help from my husband, Lee. I took 13 painkillers a day and, still, any kind of activity was uncomfortable. After surgery for a slipped disc in 2011, pain free and finally able to think about losing weight, I’d joined Slimming World and lost 3st. Then, in February 2015, Lee and I were decorating our loft conversion and as I reached up with a paintbrush, I felt a sharp, familiar pain. I’d slipped another disc.
