At the height of summer, the ancient Celtic festival of Lammas takes centre stage. Falling on the 1-2 August, it’s an important part of the Wheel of the Year for modern pagans as it marks the first harvest festival, known as the Grain Harvest.
Wiccans believe that the Goddess, in her guise as Corn Mother, is rich with gifts. Abundance and reaping the rewards of work done earlier in the year are the key themes of this celebration.
