A serendipitous encounter very early in her career yielded the project of a lifetime for landscape architect Kim Alvarez, whose appreciation for the opportunity has grown like the richly layered plants in her stunning design for one of New Orleans’ most sought-after addresses.
Bold tropical trees mesh with traditional Southern plantings in the lush, art-inspired grounds at the home on Audubon Place, a distinctive 19th-century gated community that features a magnificent Romanesque-arched entrance on widely recognized St. Charles Avenue.
