Historic Landmarks: Locust Grove

Constructed in 1792, the same year Kentucky was granted statehood, Locust Grove bears the mark of a family that played an integral part in building the Bluegrass State and America. This storied Georgian mansion in the lush rolling hills of Louisville was a stepping-stone to the West, boasting visits from the likes of two presidents, explorers Lewis and Clark, and artist John James Audubon.
