REMARKABLE OGIER COMES OUT TOPS IN A MODERN-DAY WORLD RALLYING CLASSIC

Sebastien Ogier clinched his fourth victory from six events so far in 2021, and the Toyota team’s fourth 1-2 result, making yet another entry in the sport’s history books upon the World Rally Championship’s return to Kenya’s Safari Rally after a 19-year hiatus.

The rally may have been shorter, consisting of just 320km in terms of competitive stages (compared to 1010km in 2002 and 4800km when it was first staged in 1953), but the event’s tradition for delivering twists and turns on the final day was much in evidence.
